A wheelie bar is a special protective bar mounted at the rear of the motorcycle, designed to practice riding on the rear wheel without the risk of flipping over.
Frame: a durable metal structure that keeps the motorcycle aligned on the vertical axis.
Support/stopper: an adjustable rear stop that prevents flipping when lifting the front wheel.
Side wheels or guides: stabilize the bike and prevent it from tipping over sideways.
Mounts: secure the motorcycle by the wheels or swingarm, allowing the engine and suspension to work as in real riding, but without the risk of falling.
Angle adjustment: sets the maximum lift angle of the front wheel for gradually mastering the technique.
Trainer Capabilities:
Learning controlled front wheel lift.
Practicing throttle, clutch, and balance control.
Training to find the “balance point” without the risk of flipping.
Practicing in place, without the need for a long track.
In simple terms — it’s a “wheelie simulator.” It gives you the same experience as riding on the road but without the fear of falling or damaging your motorcycle. Ideal for confident riders with solid bike-handling experience who want to master wheelies.
Design and Principle of Operation:
Material: strong steel or aluminum tubing, built to withstand the weight of the motorcycle and rider.
Mounting: installed on the swingarm or frame of the motorcycle using special brackets.
Protective wheel or roller: placed at the end of the bar, serving as a support point if the front wheel rises too high.
Length and angle: adjusted so the motorcycle lifts to a safe balance point but doesn’t flip over.
Adjustability: some models allow you to change the engagement angle of the bar, gradually training for higher wheelies.
Purpose:
Learning and practicing wheelie technique.
Training throttle and clutch control.
Safe practice on asphalt without a special track.
Protecting the motorcycle and rider from flipping over.
In simple terms — a wheelie bar makes your practice a controlled process: you can confidently pull the bike onto the rear wheel, while the bar prevents it from “going too far” and flipping. Perfect for training on both sport bikes and pit bikes.
How does it work?
Serves as a safeguard
The single rear wheel touches the ground only if the rider lifts the front wheel too high, preventing a complete rollover.
No side support.
The rider must maintain side balance (left-right) independently, just like in a real, unassisted wheelie — this helps develop better skills and control.
Designed for progress.
Ideal for moving beyond the beginner level and practicing balance point control, longer wheelies, and technical low-speed exercises.
